THE CANYON LAKE HOUSE

Welcome to our cozy Canyon Lake Cloud 9! This is a perfect house for snowbird Texans or a family wanting an affordable extended stay in the Texas Hill Country. This home sits atop a hill on 1/3 acre escarpment cherry, walnut, and oak wooded lot, just four tenths a mile from the north side of Canyon Dam, A public boat ramp (Little Jacobs Creek) is about a mile away. The Canyon Lake House has three levels of decks totaling 1000+- sq. ft. overlooking forests and the lake from the "waytop". Watch TV, read your favorite book or you may want fish in the lake down a paved road with boat docking eyes in the protected cove. Relax and enjoy the quiet Texas Hill Country and the deer in the front yard as they browse the forests on the east and west sides of the property. This cozy three bedroom home comes with linens and is fully furnished. Three bedrooms, Jacuzzi tubs inside and out, a living room and the fully equipped kitchen are downstairs. The kitchen was recently remodeled with granite counter tops and stainless steel kitchen appliances. Upstairs there is a large game room with 8' pool table, shuffleboard, air hockey, foosball, video and board games. There are a couple sets of bunk beds in the game room as well. There is room for five cars, and room for a couple boats on their trailers off the street as well. There is a washer/dryer on site and televisions with 30 some odd local channels. We are located close to Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and San Antonio. The nearby towns of Fisher and Sattler offer grocery stores and restaurants. Tubing and kayaking on the Guadalupe River is just 10 minutes away at the "Horseshoe". The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country is 15 minutes away on the south side of the lake, with over 300 dinosaur tracks, Overlook Park offers beautiful views of the lake and the dam. Canyon Gorge was created in 2002, when water went over the dam spillway and uncovered a million years of history. Guided tours are available for this one of only two in the world feature. Natural Bridge Caverns is also fairly nearby. If shopping is your "thing", visit the shops in historic Gruene, Texas, or the Tanger mall near San Marcos. Downtown New Braunfels offers antique stores and excellent restaurants. Schlitterbahn, the famous water park is in New Braunfels, about 20 minutes from the house. The Alamo, Fiesta Texas, Sea World, and the San Antonio River Walk are about an hour away. Available Now, Weekly, monthly, and three or more days, but sorry no pets.
